3. Step 3 : Authon - Entrepierres (La Reine Jeanne bridge)

To begin this stage, you must cross the iconic Vançon River via the bridge at the village exit. The ascent then takes you through a dense forest of beech and conifer trees, offering occasional glimpses of the Géruen ridges that dominate the landscape. The trail passes by the Saint-Vincent cave and continues toward the summit of Mount Mélan. The descent then follows the David Ravine into the Vançon Valley, which you simply follow until you reach the Queen Jeanne Bridge. A climb back up toward Vilhosc concludes this lovely stage.
