3. Step 3 : Barret-sur-Méouge - Upaix

The route continues along the Chabre mountain. Nestled between earth and sky, this mountain offers exceptional views. At its summit lies the launch site for an international hang gliding and paragliding center. 
Next, you’ll pass through Laragne, a town crossed by the Buëch River. Life is good in this pleasant and charming little town, already steeped in Provençal charm.
Located on the Route Napoléon, Upaix is one of the region’s most beautiful hilltop villages and the next stop on this route. It welcomes visitors with a panoramic view of the Durance and Buëch valleys from its orientation table. There are several sites to explore: its beautiful listed church (14th–17th centuries), the Chapel of the Penitents and its sundial, the restored plaster dovecote, and its stately home with a staircase adorned with stucco work.
