5. Step 5 : Saint-Auban-sur-l'Ouvèze - Izon-la-Bruisse

From Saint-Auban-sur-l’Ouvèze, head east through marl lands and forests of varied tree species. Gradually, the landscape opens up to a breathtaking panorama: to the east, the Montagne de Chamouse; to the west, the Montagne de Croc and Bouvrège. Further north, the Clavière mountain comes into view, and to the south, the Mévouillon valley and its fort. From there, a climb along the flower-covered ridges will take you to Izon-la-Bruisse, surrounded by rocky outcrops. A strikingly wild setting!
