From the banks of the Durance to picturesque hilltop villages, this 65-kilometer cycling loop offers a wonderful immersion in the charm of the Alps and Provence. Between the climbs, take the time to soak in the atmosphere of the old houses, narrow streets, bell towers, wash houses, and fortifications.

Description

Before heading toward the hilltop villages, the route departs from Laragne-Montéglin via the D 942 and then the D51 to reach the canal. Following the water’s edge, continue north along the brand-new bike route (connecting Monêtier-les-Bains to Avignon) that runs alongside the Durance Valley. Cross the canal at Monêtier-Allemont to begin the route leading from village to village.
Claret, Melve, Sigoyer, Vaumeilh, Valernes, and Mison... the villages follow one after another, enriching the adventure with cultural and scenic discoveries.
