A quick warm-up on an uphill trail, followed by a few rollercoaster-like sections on a trail through the woods, a 10-minute hike carrying your bike, and… straight into the descent! The enduro-style finish is perfect for fans of fun, steep single-track trails. You’ll never get tired of it!
Follow the red Mountain Bike Trail No. 16 (VTT N°16)

Description

  1. Take the RD 30 toward Laragne, then turn right toward “Beynaves / Le Chevalet.” At the two intersections, keep right.
  2. Just past a bridge, in a curve, leave the paved road and follow the forest trail. The trail climbs through a fairly shaded area beneath the Chabre ridge.
  3. At the first major trail junction, go up to the right, then at the second fork, follow the more clearly marked trail to the left. At the end of the trail, continue on the ledge-like path beneath the ridge (a roller-coaster-like trail, fun and with plenty of ups and downs).
  4. At the intersection, head back up the forest trail to Beynaves. At the crossroads, take the trail that continues to climb gradually, then descends after the Col de Beynaves for about 300 m.
  5. At the signpost, turn left onto the trail through the meadow. Pass through a wetland area and continue on the trail that winds through the shaded forest of Chabre. At the “La Touisse” signposts, head uphill following the direction of Col Saint Jean / Laborel.
  6. At the junction with a trail, descend toward Ste Colombe. After a fork, in a hairpin turn to the right, take the left trail uphill. It leads to a small marl pass. From here begins a 10-minute hike to the highest point of the Veillanne ridge. (Hang in there, it’s worth it!)
  7. At the summit, enjoy this beautiful descent along a trail that winds through the woods all the way down (Caution: some turns are sharp, and other sections are steep and narrow!).
  8. Once in the valley, reach a path and turn right to join the road. Follow it to the right and do the same at the next intersection. Head to Orpierre via the RD 30.
